There is a point for many dancers who come to dance as adults where, having been taking class for a while, you reach a point as alluded to in Capitalising the I, where you realise that you've only made it onto the first plateau and that the run up for that next ascent needs a lot more time in the studio...
If you work for a living, like most of us do, this can be a challenge especially away from big cities doubly so if you want to take pointe classes and your local schools aren't fond of having adults in their teen classes.
I'm fortunate that i do have some great adult classes within reasonable reach of me , but some people think i'm crazy to travel 30 or 40 miles for class ... but when the teachers are ex-pros it's worth it ...
